I wish my company attorney could understand the basic ENGLISH instructions. Worst part, still doesn't admit his mistake and keeps pointing to the receipt issued by USCIS.
Btw, I took Infopass appointment and went today to ask what should I do....given USCIS has issued receipt notice
The officer responded similar to my attorney's response, stating given that USCIS has issued receipt, they are working on my appl and I may not need to send the fee..BUT he admitted that the fee was required..
In short, still not sure what to do....
I think both your attorney and the Infopass official are right. The app fee is part of the initial evidence (documents) that are verified before the case is accepted. Since the receipt has been issued it seems the receipting agent has overlooked that the fee was required. But again, this is USCIS that we are talking about!!
Just my 2c and not a recommendation one way or the other!!

For private courier (non usps deliveries) there is different address please see in the Instruction on completing I-765 form on USCIS website.
I send my application via fedex today to following address..

SKIL exempts applicants with a masters degree from the US and 3 years experience from the annual quotas. This along with not counting dependents should bring considerable relief to even the folks who are still subject to quota.

Our appointment was at 9:00 Am but due to NJ traffic we reached at 10:00 AM. We both were worried that we may be turned back but it turnout that they had given 9:00 AM appointment to everyone.
As soon as you will go on the second floor you will be handed over a cardboard with an application to be filled by you. Fill that application and wait in a line to be called by a clerk for checking your ID and hands. The person will closely check your hand, most probably to make sure that they are good for FP.
Once she is satisfied, you will be given a number and asked to be seated in a big hall. Your number will be called and the person will take FP for every fingers in your hand. You will also be photographed.
The whole process took us an hour.
Just one more thing, plenty of parking is available in front of the prudential building.

1.Can I take an offer with a consulting firm for suppose 3 months con_w2 ?This firms will give me offer letter stating that I will work with them for only 3 months.I cannot file AC 21 since it is temporary employment.In my case since my original employer is intended to hire me permanently once GC is approved and supporting the GC process for this RFE Can I take this contract employment with out filing AC 21? As such I don't see any point in filing AC 21 in my case even if I find full time employment with the end client since my original employer is ready to hire me once GC is approved as GC is for future employment.Please clarify me on this.

If you worked in CA you need to file the same state. You dont have to file the tax for the state where your employer resides.

So you are asking me to first threaten him by saying that I would take this matter to DOL if he does not refund me back. If matter gets really worse then and only then should I lodge a complaint against his firm? Am I right? If I have to complain, what is the procedure. I am just nervous. Please guide me.
And by the way how much do you think out of $1800,can I ask him to refund? And to just bring to your notice, he is saying this after 1 year. I can even ask him to pay me the interest for 1 year that he's enjoyed on my hard earned money. Right?

You can ask Humana to issue you a letter stating to coverage amount that you will be covered while on your visit to Sweden. When I was traveling to Italy, my insurance company did issue me such a letter & I didn't have to buy anything.

I am in the same boat as you. My EAD expires on Sept 12th. Still no response from NSC center. I have few friends that I know, who filed after I did and they all have recieved their EADs. Not sure whats going on.

Never been to Delhi, and I have no idea how Intl and domestic travel works in tandem...

It all depends on your international arrival and next connection to domestic city (how long is lay over?) You can get a good connection from New york to mumbai to indore with airline A due to its flight schedule but you might not get the same ''good connection'' with airline B as it just has a different schedule.
So it depends on the following
-From where you fly
-When you reach
-When is the first avaiable domestic flight
-how much is the total cost

With the revision of the bulletin being revoked, things kind of worked out ok. However why has'nt anyone looked into what exactly happened on July 2nd and who was responsible for what? All the questions that Zoe Lofgren asked were very legitimate. Why were they not answered? We had Condi Rice say that all visa's were exhausted; this was on TV. Was she lying or mis-informed by someone in her department? Who misinformed her? What was the motivation for revising the bulletin? Who ordered the mass-processing of pending applicatons that we have now seen? Why were all dates made current in the first place? Which agency did it and who did they not talk to?
If it were not for the flower-campaign induced media exposure, and the tough stance taken by Zoe Lofgren, USCIS/DOS could have gotten away doing whatever they wanted. What if the next time something like this happens Zoe is not working on the immigration subcommittee in the House? No one else stood up against this mangling of the law. If you steal a car and two weeks later go put it back where you took it from, it does not change the fact that you stole the car and must be held responsible for it. Where is the responsibility for what happened on July 2nd?
Anyone contacted the Ombudsman to see if he is doing a special report on this July 2nd fiasco?

I think USCIS process cases based on the I485 RD. The IO gets the file and he approves if everything is ok with the file and assigns a visa number if it is available, they generally don't care about the PD because they don't want to go back and review the same file. They are doing their best to complete work on a file in one go instead of putting it through multiple queues and re-visiting the case again and again. Bottomline they are working effeciently by using their manpower more productively instead of going back and forth on the 1 million I485 files.
This is my take on the processing statergy used by USCIS. If everything was as mentioned in the manual they would have answered this question in an FAQ like they did for the July'07 receipting updates and FAQ's.
I maybe wrong, but the trend suggests what I have mentioned.

So my status doesnt change until my I 485 is approved- any idea how long that will take? My H 1B expires in Nov of 2007 should I get an extension? Thank you for your replies- Lisa

My attorney tells me they don't give employees copies of labor applications.
