I dont understand why you insist on spending $60+ on a converter board and bracket...everyone including myself have a lot of success with the one from smk312 on ebay and I believe its $20-$28. There are really no electronics on that board, it basically just converts from one plug to another.

Even if you know you want a previous gen, you don't want to buy right before a keynote because prices will usually drop if a new rev comes out.

It's just that I'm in New York right now but I won't be in about two months. So the two months prior to my move in date I won't be in the city. I thought I could start the search now and be able to check out the place in person and sign the paperwork and whatnot.
The landlord said she has a current tenant whose lease is up a month before I move in, so my move in date works. However, I'm not allowed to see the place because there's someone living there right now and they have a "privacy policy." Is this normal?
However on her listings on the websites, one said the availability was Apr.1, and one said "now." So either she hasn't taken down the listings, or she is already looking for her next tenant? I have no idea how the whole renting thing works.
She did agree to meet face to face though. Should I ask her to bring some documents? Ownership papers perhaps?

I know I'm bumping a slightly old post, but I'm in the exact same position as you! I really wanted to get Black to for gaming nostalgia, but I read online that they are planning on a 3D pokemon title, and that game won't work on the DSi. So, I think I've decided to just go and get a 3DS--
Nope. There have been no "official" rumours of a 3DS Pokemon game in the style of Black/White (and the other main series games). Of course the next one will be out on the 3DS. But there have been no rumours surfacing yet and it'll be at least 1 year until we see a new game, with the average being 3-4 years for a new title.
Of course there's always a kid on Youtube who says his uncle Jed works for Game Freak and knows all about the next game ;)

in december i managed to buy a booq taipan [i believe that's what it was called] and although it isn't the vyper i am def. pleased with the quality and durability. [its a sleeve btw]... i have to say booq products are no.1, very well made, and well worth the money. Booq Vyper to the MAXX!!!

Have you tried firing up the Terminal program in OSX and using the ftp command-line interface?
Does that freeze up as well?no and i have no idea how to do that. terminal is a bit intimidating.
