The recruitment seminar is really relaxed and you will get through it as long as you be yourself, engage with the recruiters and other people there and ask plenty of questions at the end regarding the job. Don't come over too much as a hardcore Apple fanboy but talk about how much you can't put down your iPhone/iPod. During the group exercises, make sure you try and come over as a good leader but good team player at the same time - make sure that your ideas are part of the main focus but be sure to agree with ideas that you wish you though of. Otherwise, just enjoy it as it's really relaxed and you will spend most of the two and a half hours watching a presentation, videos and doing some group exercises. They get through hundreds of CV's at a time and to get the chance to be considered is a good achievement. Just out of interest, what store are you thinking of joining and what position are you after?

Too bad - I know it can be resolved by using a powered USB hub for the connection, but that's not very elegant. I was hoping perhaps Apple would have conceded that there are some very good reasons for reinstating the 100 mA limit. On the plus side, I hadn't spent the money on the connector yet.
Agreed, it's ridiculous that they would cripple their own adapter. But then again it's also ridiculous that the old iPod camera adapter, which looks exactly the same, doesn't work on the iPad.

Have you tried Power Cycling? Turn off your computer, and unplug the Airport Router and the cable modem. Wait a minute, and then plug everything back in.

Client uses Quark 8.5 and wants files in this format, so I've downloaded the trail version of Quark 9. How do I save this back? I had a poke about and figured file > export > layouts as project > pick version 8. Will this work in 8.5?

No, Apple Hardware should be its own category. Why should I have to tunnel down through Hardware --> Apple Hardware, just to get to Mac computers, on a site called "Mac Guides"?
But this all raises a much larger question. Is it so bad to have a lot of categories? Since every post can be associated with multiple categories, does it really matter? For example, I could associate iBook G4 with Apple Hardware, Apple Laptops, and iBooks. I could put iPhoto in both Apple Software and Prosumer Software.

Has this actually been confirmed or is this just a rumor? Everything I hope is that they keep online multiplayer free and access to PSN Store. DOn't really care if they add a small fee to get some extra things, as I don't need them anyway

* Full screen mode: A good idea that works very well if you have small screens or/and resolution. On my ACD I have so much space that for most apps, full screen mode is an overkill. I don't see me using it a lot. Maybe when Aperture gets it I will use it.
Are you saying that you are not impressed by this feature just because it doesn't fit YOUR need, even though you emphasize that it works very well if you have a small screen (most Mac users have the laptop)?
Is anyone running Lion on a lower-powered machine? I'd like to hear feedback on those who have tried it on an 11" MBA.
Runs smooth as butter on my 11" 2GB machine.

1- Is it worth doing an SSD optibay upgrade? I figure it will cost me around 350 bucks, which is a almost a 3rd of an Air. Thoughts?
I did this recently on my 17" and it was totally worth it. I used OWC Data Doubler and 256Gb Corsair SSD from my old laptop. For a 115Gb SSD and Mounting kit - $229 + 75.

No, i can still get the printer from canons website no problem. So it is apple who has discontinued...they just stopped carrying it.
I can get it just fine through canon, amazon, newegg, and some other sites but then i would not get the rebate!!

If I can't get the upgrade I'm just going to buy an external HD and make it a network drive.That would work quite well. If you don't mind a non-portable drive (and it sounds like you don't), you'll get a lot more for your money (vs a portable drive).
