Hi, if I want to update my jailbroken iPhone will I need to restore it before (or at any point during)?
I realise I'll lose my jailbreak, but I'm just wondering if it would require a restore.
(Sorry if it's been asked over and over again but I can't find anything that directly answers this question.)

No. I think the 1Ghz is the better deal.
I really like the value of the 867- finally a non-crippled Pro machine at $1699 or $2699 in Canada is great. I'd wait until the next upgrade to even consider the top of the line.

I'm getting ready to head to Florida with my kids and wife. I am so looking forward to this vacation.
I just totaled up my hours that I worked for the past two months. I've worked 7 days a week 70+ hours of work for the past 2 months. This week I've started working at 6:00am, and finishing up at 11:00pm (with a break for lunch and making dinner).
What do you do for work and why?
Kidding aside, enjoy and try not to work on your vacation!

Hey can you guys tell me what I need to change to become valid html?
Result: Tentatively passed validation
File: test.html
Encoding: utf-8
Doctype: -//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 TRANSITIONAL//EN
Unknown Parse Mode!
The MIME Media Type (text/html) for this document is used to serve both SGML and XML based documents, and it is not possible to disambiguate it based on the DOCTYPE Declaration in your document. Parsing will continue in SGML mode.
No DOCTYPE found!
Attempting validation with HTML 4.01 Transitional.
The DOCTYPE Declaration was not recognized or is missing. This probably means that the Formal Public Identifier contains a spelling error, or that the Declaration is not using correct syntax. Validation has been performed using a default "fallback" Document Type Definition that closely resembles "HTML 4.01 Transitional", but the document will not be Valid until you have corrected this problem with the DOCTYPE Declaration.
This Page Is Tentatively Valid -//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 TRANSITIONAL//EN
The uploaded document "test.html" was checked and found to be tentatively valid -//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 TRANSITIONAL//EN. This means that with the use of some fallback or override mechanism, we successfully performed a formal validation using an SGML or XML Parser. In other words, the document would validate as -//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 TRANSITIONAL//EN if you changed the markup to match the changes we have performed automatically, but it will not be valid until you make these changes
The code I have for this so far is:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 TRANSITIONAL//EN">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
What else do I need to become valid?

There's a new iMac coming your way in the near future.
They likely don't have any refurb 2008 iMacs fitting the specs of your model, so you'll get a new one. :)
Try to back up that HDD if you can though!

Edit: is it really as simple as selecting install from within ifile? I clicked the link you gave for the beta on the iPod and safari let me open the deb file in ifile. Don't wanna mess anything up but man it sure seems simple.
Edit 2: well I went ahead and installed it, it works! Thanks a bunch.
Yep, it's one of the reasons iFile is worth every penny. It can even reinstall Cydia, as I have done a couple of times. And no, you usually don't have to uninstall things first, unless they are really messed up.

Curious.. when Wii came out, they were EVERYWHERE.. every store had stock, etc..
Now that I want to buy one for my son, they are sold out everywhere with long waiting lists..
Whats the deal? What am I missing? New version?

There is another one out there utilising an 800 MHz G3.
Unfortunately, I've never seen anything about graphics upgrades as this would take a whole lot more research and possibly a daughterboard and firmware upgrades to make it work.

Anybody know if woodland hills has good wi-fi in the mall?
All Apple stores have free WiFi for customer use and it usually works out in the mall area around the store.

I would try a factory reset before returning.
I assume when you said you`d reset it you simply meant shutting it down and rebooting it.
Traces of your JB may remain and you NEED to rule that out TOTALLY before looking at a hardware fault imo.

One thing to be leery of is, yes keep your original ram and if you bring it in for Applecare, make sure to put the original ram back in laptop.
What often happens is the person servicing your laptop will restore it to original specs. So if you machine is a 4GB machine, they might take out your 8GB trash it and put in their 4GB so it matches the computer build. I've read many stories on these forums of people losing their expensive harddrive or ram and got back stock items.
I think I would be mad if they "trashed" my ram and/or hard drive. Hopefully, I do not have to find out.

Besides those of you who got to be at NAMM...
You mean NAB?
I'm sure we'll hear more about this at WWDC the beginning of June. ;)

I don't care what they change so long as it's user-replaceable, and until then, I will continue to recommend against them to customers. As it stands, it's barely technician-replaceable, as the rubber bottom normally gets torn in opening the thing.
I got to agree with you...how could they make it so difficult...remember the overheating issues...it really runs too hot...idea is good but I would not buy it all over again I would buy separate router and backup hard drive...

That's not something you'll go through if you buy a modern Apple computer.
Why don't you UPDATE the software from 10.1.2?
Do you know you can buy the much faster intel mac mini for just a few hundred?
