As stated: Syphon Filter is excellent, but other than that I would recommend the following...
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
(if you have the Japanese gps, I'm pretty sure you can unlock characters while you travel from WiFi hotspot to hotspot)
Field Commander(if you don't feel like buying/bringing a DS for Advance Wars)
Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters
Daxter
Family Guy is fun on the portable, but I don't know if it has the replay value you are looking for.
.....and of course ANY of the Grand Theft Auto's have plenty of challenges to keep you gaming for a while.

Obviously it's faster, but has anyone actually checked how much faster? I'd like to switch my main box to the console app but I don't want to lose all the work I've done on this WU.. Is there a way to do that, or should I just bite the bullet and lose the current WU?

Yeah, seriously. Just keep your PC as well. You don't NEED to throw it out, although I wouldn't shed a tear if you did. ;)
For programs like MS Access, I can understand the need for VPC, but what graphics app is absolutely necessary on a PC? There must be a Mac equivalent. Oh, and VPC runs decently for everything other than graphics related apps (Photoshop or games).

i have the logitech mx700 and an apple optical mouse. i actually prefer the mac mouse. everyone bashes it but i think its so elegant and sleek. i also like the simplicity of it. i think i prefer using one button mice now. i dont think i ever got used to using like 10 or so buttons on the mx700. i used to use pc's for the past 7 years or so. i used a pc earlier and caught myself trying to control click everything instead of right click.

That screenie looks the same as my 11" Air with W7 Ultimate SP1, and audio is working fine on here.
Can you go into the Start menu, right click Computer, click Manage, then click Device Manager on the left hand bar. Check whether or not if there's any errors under the Sound menu.
I'll see if I can dig up the driver set I have and upload it somewhere. (assuming the 11" model uses the same audio chip as the 13"...?)
I had a display error on my previous installation (res would not go over 800x600 even after installing the Boot Camp drivers) and removing/reinstalling the drivers did nothing to solve the issue. I had to reinstall Windows- I would suggest not installing anything just yet because you might have to go through the pains of reinstalling ;)

OK, that explains why I couldn't replicate the problem with my 6-character password. But there's nothing important on my system so I think I can wait for a fix rather than change (and subsequently forget) my password.
It'll be interesting to try this after installing the 14/7/03 security update. It apparently fixes the 2048 character overflow in the screensaver password, but there's a (small) chance it'll fix this one too.

Can anyone give me your personal thoughts on the 20" iMac? I'm currently using an old Powermac desktop (It's a 4 -1/2 year old, dual 1 Ghz Quicksilver). If the Intel switch wasn't around the corner, I'd have a new desktop already. My main work is in Photoshop, Illustrator, and occasionally some 3D programs.
Anyway, I was thinking of getting a 20" iMac to hold the fort while I wait. Would I notice any bump in speed for graphics programs? (My desktop has been reliable but occasionally quirky). I'm also considering using the 20" iMac after it's out of date as a TV or as a display at exhibitions to show video or Flash movies of new products.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

My 27" looks great @ 1920x1080...
In games, you can't tell the difference.
Games are a bit different but if you run the desktop or other apps at 1920x1080, it won't look great. Even in games, I'm sure you can notice a difference if you are honest.

This always confuses me. Why do they call it a newsreader? Why not an RSS reader? This does nothing more than keep track of and read RSS feeds. It's not significantly different/better than the RSS capability built into Safari or Firefox.
Maybe I'm a purist (or a snob), but to me a "newsreader" is an application used to read the newsgroups (the Usenet). Panic's Unison application is a newsreader. It connects to newsgroup servers and allows me to read posts and download attachments.
Am I being too picky?

Just to clarify, it does chime and the light on the front does fade to off after its turned on right? If its doing all that, its most likely a bad graphics chip.

They can now be purchased online as well in all parts of the country for $249 through AT&T (there's no contract when buying the phone, either), there's a thread about it in the iPhone news forum. So I think that price would be very optimistic, as anyone on here could get one for $249 and have it unlocked in twenty minutes.
Also, if it's a refurb, why does it come in the packaging for new phones? IIRC, refurb iPhones come in brown boxes...
