Hi,
I have been married to a US Citizen for more than 6 years and my green card was issued 5years ago. My green card was issued thru marriage. On the N-400 application form for citizenship what should I use as my eligibility? marriage or being a lawful permanent resident for at least 5 years? Thanks :)

I was under the impression that they send only one notice for each case and that too to the attorney.My attorney has send me a mail that he received the receipt notices and the original would have been sent to the employer.In case the employer has not received,he will send me a copy.
Do i need to have the original receipts.I have a valid L1 stamping and planning to travel early next month.I heard that i need to have atleast receipt notices if i dont have the AP approval by then.

my wife is on H4 visa.... to work she would need H1...
BUT I have heared that if she gets some research-work in any University / non-profit organisation, they do give special work permit immediatly unlike H1 where u have to wait till October... IS THIS TRUE?

There is no such thing as AP Renewal, it is always a fresh application. That is the reason application does not mention anything about renewal.

Here's my experience. I only have original receipt notice for H1 extension. Local offices in Jersey City and Bayonne wouldn't renew driving license. I went to Trenton. There the supervisor's name is Jewel. She checked their TVR book and that says H1 extension receipt notice is enough for 8 months renewal. She helped me with that and said she would tell their bosses about the local offices.

I am on H1B and planning to go for CP. I have to fill the form DS-230 for this and submit to VSF office.
Currently I am on H1B extension and I don't have visa stamped for this extension on my passport.
In this form DS-230 I need to fill field name "Present Address".
I have following question:
- In this form what should I fill my present address
Indian address
OR
US address.
(what I think: I think when I will submit the forms to VSF I will be in india and at that time i will not have the valid visa to enter USA. So I think I should fill the indian address.)
What do you guys suggest?

My I 485 package was returned as it didnt have the approval notice of I 140, which was submitted a day later than I485 by my company.
It is such a frustrating situation as i have been waiting since 1999 for my GC , and when i got this golden chance my company was not serious enuf to submit the papers in time !
I am doubting the company , as they would have done all this intentionally to keep me in their co. for longer time!The returned letter they have provided me shows no reference no, file no, or either my name ! how can i believe if they have even submitted any papers for I485 or not ?
They say they can refile again .. but duno what to do ??
Can anybody be kind enough to help me out here!

Dear All,
I followed the instructions and clicked where indicated and the programme ran and produced �I�m all GUI inside�. However, instead of the neat rounded corners, I only saw square corners.
I am trying to design my programmes using rounded corners, which is why I read the tutorial and downloaded Expression Blend 4.

I have a coworker who is a citizen of Canada and got I-140 approved yesterday.
The question is how safe, easy and hassle-free it will be to do a CP (Counselor Processing) from Canada instead of I-485? CP will be done in US embassy in Montreal. Do you guys know any experiences from your other friends? Any relevant information will be appreciated.

My attorney sent my I-485 at Nebraska center because my I-140 was pending at Nebraska but according to question # 38 on FAQ-3, it should have gone to TX based on June 22, 2007 direct filing directives. Should I file again at Texas center?

My daughter has joined in a medical program in India and she has to return to US after 4 years to continue her studies. Her 485 is in process and she has stamped H4 upto 2012 ( 3 years from now). I am trying to find out the best strategy to get her here after 4 years if we dont get GC prior to H4 stamping expiry.
Should I continue to apply her EAD and Advance parole whenever she visits US (She will come to US atleast once every year)? Or Can I apply for her EAD and Parole just before the expiry of her h4 stamp (That is after 3 years)? Please advise.
